Felt Tschapka Depot Image

Hi Everyone,

Here's an image I've had for a year or so. I can't believe all the felt Prussian tschapka's in this depot/warehouse on the shelves. The image was originally postcard size, but unfortunately it was cut down by the time I stumbled onto it. It's present size is about 8.5 cm x 11 cm.

My scanner is pretty crummy, and I wish that I could make some enlargements to get a better views.

Enjoy!

All the Best,

Alan

Alan, you have GOT to get that scanned at least 600 dpi.

If you see leather trim sewn around the bottom edges, you have to burn it! :-$

Hi Tony,

Yes, I understand about the 600 dpi scanning. Unfortunately I don't have a nice scanner. I guess that I should invest in a nice Epson 1670 scanner, as I've recently come to understand.

I'm not worried about the visor trim being leather on these, as it's pretty clear to me with my glasses, and a 10x magnification that the visors are brass, and reflective to light, same as the Prussian frontplates on the tschapkas. Take a look at the guy standing on something in the background, who's holding one in his hand. You can see the reflection on the brass trim of the visor. No worries about this one! 8-[

Very nice picture, congratulations!

Are there more informations on the back side of the picture, especially the place where the photo has been taken...?

Thanks for asking, Maxime. Unfortunately there is not any writing on the backside of the image. I can only wish that there was.

All the Best,

Alan

Are you sure this isn't just an old picture of Adlers hobby room? :D

That would explain the helmet in the lower left with the sewn on leather trim:)
