I think this helmet deserved a liner restitch! :thumb up:

First of al thanks to brian and his great work and knodledge on how to restore helmets .its thanks to brian and his information that helped me during the proces

At first i tought it would be a easy task sewing in a liner but man was i wrong . al the threads had to be removed then al the residue from glue on the helmet as wel on the liner . then was the hardest part lining up the liner with the holes and keeping it in place, becose during the proces of stitching you twist and turn the helmet more than a 100 times . The liner is fragile and worst thing that could happen is that the liner is wripping on the stichholes. in my case it came al good and i am pretty pleased with the end result

It is deffinitly wurth to try ,must say that once you get the hang of it it is a pleasure .
What you must not forget is once you are a few holes further (10 or 15 )you must tighten the thread so that the liner sits ferm against the helmet itself

Welcome to my world Jonas! Any work done on these 100+ year old helmets always involves a great deal of stress on the piece. You have done an excellent job here Jonas.
