Another vintage helmet from the seventies...
 
I see he moved from the sink to the surf board for photographing the helmets... is there something I don't know about this? I mean, is a surfboard (or windsurfing board) a better backdrop than a sink? Maybe this is something we should discuss on 'how to photograph your Pickelhaube... or anything else".

That is just indicative of better weather in his part of the world.

I think this scenario is more likely considering the current foul weather here in the Netherlands :D

Only $705...and the seller is now well aware that the helmet is not original.
With bidders' identities "protected," there's little chance of warning them.
 
A few weeks a go I contacted this seller about his saxon tschapka that he had up for auction on ebay in order to express my concerns about it. I mailed him in Dutch as his English seems not to perfect. Furthermore, I sugested that he should seek advice here about his items that he has for sale, but he never responded.
