This one looks convincing, but the bird is not a standard infantry-style as seems to have been the norm on a felt Tschapka.
On the other hand, maybe it's the real deal. At least it doesn't have the leather visor edging.

But doesn't it look like it was made yesterday? :-?

That may be the case.
It doesn't have vent holes on the mortarboard or the side reinforcements under the chinstrap posts, either, but then maybe those were characteristics of the Luckenwald [sic] helmets.
Or maybe I've been bamboozled on this one.

I think it is a copy. The mortarboard does have (at least one) vent hole but on real ones the square top is much thicker. The lower profile of the skull is straight and not curved. I do not like either the stitching: thread still white after almost a century...
What else? Oh yes, it is for sale in the UK...

Sorry, bad to the bone for me...

- Shell = not ok
- Liner = not ok
- Kokarde = not ok
- Chinstrap = not ok
- Chinstrap posts = not ok
- Stitching = not ok
- Rivets that hold the spike = not ok
- Helmet plate = not ok
- Vent holes missing = not ok
- ...

Conclusion: run Forrest, run!
