The royal class: fire gilding!
The Greek naval dagger for cadets around 1920 was polished brass with a little gilding in the corners.
See the first pictures.
Then it was fire gilded by Mr. Meyer the only one who still does it worldwide.

He works for almost all royal houses and also for Sotheby's. He also speaks English. so if you have something to firegold contact him!!!

Wow if you don’t mind me asking how much was the charge to fire guilt the scabbard ?
He did a beautiful job !!!
