This flying helmet, connected with pilots and observers from the Prussian Air Service, is a fine example of a German aviator's helmet from World War I. Much of the original field grey paint finish, common to helmets issued during World War II, is still present on the leather-covered crash helmet. Comes fully equipped with its original leather liner system and neck flap. The neck flap includes a more readable 1917 date stamp and the remnants of an ink issue stamp.
