While doing some filing today
I just realized that my 1 L K R 1 officers
saddle blanket and pistol flaps have a long history .
We talked about the old Petschke Kurassiere collection in another thread
Petschke was the collector that my late collector friend Jarl Hartze would visit years ago.
My set as I know of the history started in the Petschke collection
Kube got his start selling the collection after the death of Petschke
It seems that it was sold to Brand
and when the Brand collection was sold in the 3 auction catalogs
25. Sept 2010 # 3 Lot 69
Kube states that it was from the Petschke collection
I did not get the set direct from the Kube auction but I did buy it later
