Fraulein Feldgrau

Having typed the Imperial German Constitution for Joe, I've decided there must be more interesting topics (not that the 75 articles weren't spellbinding). So, since we have many postcards of Fraulein Feldgrau as well as a small booklet (auf Deutsch) that says above all she must have Witz und Humor, does anyone have background information on her origins, etc.

Vielen Dank.

Joerookery's faithful Frau.

Hey Janet, I know squat, but I foresee a book coming up, I think Fraulein Feldgrau is a great topic for a study.
Best wishes

The Imperial Army Actually had Frau's und Fraulines sernvig in uniform , I have no pics but they were employed in the Signal Corp. They served near the front ,also had there own uniforms. It's not the Russian Death Battalion but Anything on WW1 serving Women is an ineresting topic.

I retrieved the Info from the book "Imerial German Army 1914-1918"
"Organisation,Structure ,Orders of Battle " by Hermann Gron . The book is not a typical read front to back book it is easiar to use it when you need to find somenting look it up .It is a good reference for me but i have found it misses a few little things but no book is perfect.
