French Artillery Adrian Helmet

I just bought this helmet and wondered about the different liner attachments. They are different than any I have seen in most M15s. Almost similar to the versions in the M26.

Perhaps the attachments were added later? Or could they be a late war variant?

Thanks.

Peter

This looks like an M26 Adrian to me. The rivets are the give away.
I have an M15 Artillery Adrian. I'll try to get some photos.

John :)

I still think it is an M15 that has been modified. Look at the four piece construction and the vent hole under the comb. I think it might have had the later liner added some time later. Hence the rivets.

Thanks for the reply.

I agree that this is a M15 modified for a M26 liner . the seem between te bowl and the sides as a sort of a ring and that is only found on a M15

I agree with Schiavona 13. This looks like a Model 1915 that was upgraded to Model 1926. Makes sense. About a gazillion M1915s had been manufactured during the war. Why not upgrade some to meet current production needs in peacetime when budget dollars were scarce?
