Hi Guys, a general question for the membership. Is there a site or perhaps a published book available, that would provide information regarding French Army Officers during, or prior to, the 1870-1871 War? Perhaps something similar to the German Ranglisten.
I was fortunate to recently purchase a Franco-Prussian War era officers kepi which was named (last name only) but gave his regiment number. I would really like to find out more about him.
Any assistance/advice would be gratefully received. Thanks
