The German term for the colour of this tunic is "dunkel blau" dark blue. These are obviously quite colourful and in 1910 the Germans switched to a "feldgrau" cloth and this is what was worn by their soldiers in WW1 and WW2. Many of these 1895 uniforms have moth damage, missing buttons etc. and this is what determines value. You don't want to buy something with a lot of moth holes.
