From Prussia with Love

Hello Larry, I'm pretty sure you recognized your 1st Bat. 1st Co. bayonet Troddel in there, didn't you?

The icons belonged to my late father and are Byzantine oriental style circa 17th or 18th Century. If I'm not mistaken, the left one represents Christ and the right Archangel Michael.

Then there's Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine archeological artifacts (pottery & glassware) from Lebanon (some dug-out by myself). Here's a quick snapshot:

Last but not least, there's some of my dad's army 'stuff'. He was a Lt. Colonel (like Joe) head of the Engineering Corps in the Lebanese army before we emigrated to Canada.

(P.S. I also collect stamps!!! :) )

Hey Brian, thanks for getting me there! That M17 camo beauty came from our friend Peter about a year ago... (more here)

An early Happy Easter to all!

Many thanks to the both of you too Colonel! :bravo:

Out of curiosity, who got promoted first? In other words, who had to salute the other prior to retirement? :)

Ron,
Aaaaarrgggghhhh....Grrrreat groupings indeed.

Great line-up as well: on wine glases; aren't they ?
Rgds,
Francis

Thanks Francis :)
It turned out we had a big set of wine glasses of the same size with an old-fashioned look to them (classic floral motifs) so I permanently requisitioned a few for my toys... :guns:
