Hi everyone,

This becoming freeky, look at that, especially the reverse :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WW1-German-Empire-Pickelhaube-Wuttemberg-Plate-Emblem-Wappen-/350904833769?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51b38ed6e9#ht_740wt_1161" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think that dark days are coming for pickelhaube collectors.

You must have original helmet plates yes? Look at the detail of the reverse compared to the one you linked to. The ebay one is not that good. There are much better ones made in Germany for the historical societies. Those fool many collectors they are so good.

The Latvian copies may actually be thin castings, rather than electroforms. The back of a well-done electroform should show more detail.

We in Ukraine also make copies of the posters on the Pickelhaube. But no one gives them for the originals
