Ah yes, Avalon Hill. I have my battered copy of "Anzio" around here somewhere.

Not a really exciting edition because if you were playing with someone who knew anything about military history the game quickly developed into a slogging match with the Allies trying to push the Germans out of their defensive high ground positions.

That’s one I never played. Loved the old Panzer Leader and Panzer Blitz games. I really enjoy the MBT Panzer series now but I’m just getting back into military board gaming after a long hiatus.

The game Peter has set up looks really good!

What a fabulous space Peter!

And hoo booy - played many an AH and SPI game, along with the GDW Europa series (could spend half a day just setting up one of the bigger ones) and Marshal Enterprises Napoleonic battle games (a favorite). Good times!

I would love to have a game-room! And I like the athmosphere a wall of books creates! Speaking of Avalon Hill Games - I was a Squad Leader gamer! A business-friend of my Dad came over from the U.S. to Germany in the 80’s and brought the game plus it‘s 3 expansions with him as a gift! Unforgettable playing sessions followed! I still love wargaming today.
