An interesting example of a GdC Officers helmet has just appeared on a new website. I am sure there is a thread here an an identical one that was in the same condition, the owner then had it restored. Notably similar as the helmet and eagle are all made of tombak, then silver plated, and in both cases, the thin silver plate now gone. Link below --
