Garde M15 artillery.

I got this some time ago but never posted it 'cause it's incomplete. But - what the hell! - it's 2009 for Chrissakes and I can't wait forever!!

This is probably my favourite helmet from my awesome collection of eight (watch out, Adler!!). The plate is sucked tight to the shell, it's big, in killer condition and marked KBAG on the hinterschirme(!). Possibly never had a star and it was worn by Kanonier 'Borronowski', his name is inside in an elegant script.

Oh, and it has brass eyelets for the plate which suggests a prewar shell. The shell is very strong and of good quality.

Hi Mikey,
beside it's incomplete you have a beautiful helmet there. Imo it's not so difficult to find the missing parts, so with a little patience... :D
It's kinda beautiful too there has never been a star on the eagle. Do you know any reason for the missing star?

PS Better 8 beautiful helmets than 50 crappers... 8-)

Greetings from Belgium,

Adler

Nice helmet, I would not worry about the star, but find yourself some kokarden and chinstrap!

Nice

James

Excellent kugelhelme Mikey. It should not be too difficult to find a star if that is what you want to do. Garde helmets in such good condition are hard to find these days. Congrats, Brian

Thank's fella's - I'm glad you like it! I have cockades for it but still no chinstrap. The star's absence used to bug me but now it doesn't bother me too much and it's hell getting that plate off and on again - you have to flex it slightly to replace it. I've only done it once, but I will put one on there soon. I would like a strap though as it's my No.1. I have a few other good ones too.
