Thank you all for your kind words. I didn't know that it was offered by kube auction as I don't follow kube. Weitz must have bidded on it and resell it. I have no hard feelings on that and just happy that I have it and it will be with me for many years to go

Yes , he follows the Kube auction and HH as well
he will buy for resale
My saddle blanket and pistol flaps for an officer of the 1 L K 1
were first offer by Kube
the collector Brant bought it
after he passed away Kube had it once again
it took 3 catalogs to sell the entire collection
Weitze bought the set
it was offered by HH auction ( property of Weitze )
I did not know about it at the time
the set did not sell at HH
sometimes the extra 25 % kills the deal
so I later bought it from Weitze

wow, you don't see these often. I love these so much, and this one is beautiful, possibly one of if not my favorite helmet of all time.
