Garde-Schützen-Batl.(Berlin) Garde-Korps Officer's Schirmmütze.

Dark green doe-skin wool with red piping and black velvet band. Officer's Preußen and Reich's Kokarde on correct Imperial pattern flat fibre backing.

Top and undersides are the same dark green, no fading. Top has about nine very small small moth nibbles, six which have been closed by dark green thread (probably a collector) so they are not as visible. One is at the front above the piping, the rest around the top. Two tiny month nibbles on the green undersides with some light moth tracking at the back rear. Not deep, just to the top layer of the nap. Underside around the front where it counts is perfect. Jet-black velvet band is perfect, no damage. Piping also perfect, no damage. Very nice original Prussian and Reich's officer's Kokarden retain almost all the silver wash. Black Vulcan fibre visor hows nice overall age.

The sweat band is light brown leather showing sweat staining from wear. Underside of the visor shows wear from placing on and off, plus a small spot that might (?) have been a price tag. Dark tan artificial silk lining shows just slight sweat ageing from hair, no damage with owner's initials written in pencil. Underside silk lining is a lighter tan and has a bit of typical fraying at the front from the forehead. Visor is a little loose on the left side, but the rest is tight. Very attractive Officer's Schirmmütze.

I paid $400 USD years ago. I would prefer a money order but will accept Paypal with 3%. Postage will be around $25 to the US or Canada.
