If I'm not mistaken, this seller has a bad reputation doesn't he?

Thats the word on the street.

Should this helmet have the KBAG stamp on it and in the liner? maybe im wrong but i don't think I have seen that stamp on one of these before. Shouldn't have the GKR marking instead?

The liner can not be the original one, the helmet itself is a M1862/1867, thus it is not impossible to have a Kriegs Bekleidungs Amt Garde mark on a replacement liner? I see no problems with that helmet whatsoever. Remember that these helmets were made to last 40 years of service. Problem could be behind the star, double holes from a conversion from 6.Kürassier Rgt.,

Personally, I have no experience with this seller but I am also aware of his bad reputation. The thing that raises my suspicion is that he appears to have highly rare items up for auction all the time.

I used the search tool a bit:

On these helmets there are already 4 rectangular holes for the star (that is 3 for the star and 1 in the centre for the little eagle which is attached separately), so it could well be a Swiss Gruyère cheese behind that plate. See what our friend has to tell about this.

on the picture we can see a 26 DR helmet. I asked pictures of this helmet. In my opinion, it is not an officer helmet and the center is an ammunition pouch one....
