General Sir Arthur Currie: Canada’s Unsung Hero Of The Great War

I hope that you enjoy watching this.

Alan:

Canadians sadly in my view, don't appreciate their military history. Sir Arthur Currie was one of the outstanding Allied generals of The Great War and yet if you were to do a "people in the street poll" I'd be surprised if 10% of the Canadians polled could tell you who he was.

The Canadian Corps during the Last Hundred Days of the war was the most successful fighting formation in the Allied Armies under Curries' command. Pretty amazing for a country that effectively had no standing army in 1914.
