Near this place I found a grave of Generalmajor Jacobi, I know that he was a owner of Posorten farm and grave is in small park near this farm. There is more graves of his wife, children and random solider fallen in 1914. Maybe someone could help me to find unit of mr. Jacobi and history of this man ? Michal,

please find below the career of General Jacobi from the Offizier-Stammliste of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 43. He retired as a charakterisierter Generalmajor in 1904 but on recall for service in WW1 as the commander of the 4. Infanterie-Brigade home command he received a Patent of 22.3.15. D. According to Stammliste entry his religion was Evangelical (Protestant). If you have any problems with the German text just let me know and I will translate.

Hi
Thank you very much.
Great informations.
Could you tell me where can I get Offizier-Stammliste of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 43??

This is a single book or maybe part of regimentgeschichte of 43IR?

I want to buy this source of knowledge :)

Regards
M.

Michal,

you do not have to buy this source of knowledge. You will need to learn to cope with the Gothic script though :)

Send me a pm and I will sort you out a copy.

Glenn
