Due to abject laziness and other non-viable excuses, I didn't get around to posting stuff till now.

I wanted to post one of my favorites, an Uhlan officer with goggles and sporting both a C96 broomhandle at the waist and a KAR88 slung over his shoulder. In theory officers were armed with private purchase pistols. Once again the "absolutes" will only a fool make.

I just bought these post cards. The town is probably Gedinne in Belgium, near the french frontier, but when and who??? Of course, George, if you want to sell your card, please let me know.

Maxime, I have several more from the same grouping, perhaps five in total. Notice the officer with the dust goggles in the first photo; he is armed with a Mauser C96 and a KAR 88.

Now that you have identified the town, I will try to determine what unit they might have belonged to.
