German-Bulgarian field dictionary

Nothing spectacular, I picked it up for 1 €. It has a stamp of the Alpenkorps, so I assume it was officially issued. Besides a pure dictionary the booklet also contains a rank guide, uniform basics etc.

This made wonder about the problem of language barriers, which must have been even more severe on the allied side. Were such guides issued in masses?

Outystanding Robert, this is a very nice addition. I have a German French, and a English french dictionary somewhere around here. To be honest, I suspect that there were as many language barriers for the Central powers, as most of the Austrian dialects are very far from German, and there was Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Italian, Croatian, Serb, Montenegrian and even Russian.

True indeed, if someone speaks native Swabian, Franconian or Palatine hardly then I can't understand a word. And thats all Bavarian..
