German M16 stahlhelm with emblem?

As I am no specialist on WWI german steelhelmets, I only know the logo's of the machine gun units and the Hoherzoln shield painted on it. Recently I came across a sample with a G, two crossed steelgranades and an R painted on it. Inside was painted: 1.GGR.10.102 W.H. It all looks original, but I have never heard about this emblem on an M16 helmet. Does anyone has some knowedge about it?

To become more specific, I do enclose tree pictures of this strange M-16 helmet with odd logo. Can anyone give me more info about the authenticity??

The GGR is a unit marking indicating Garde Grenadier Regiment 1, 10th Kompanie, 102nd soldier??? followed by presumably the owner's initials. I have never seen an individual number like this on a helmet, only on weapons as an accountablity number. Seems odd. As for the crossed grenades, I have no idea.

That was my feeling also, glad to hear I wasn't the only one to think so.

beerens, did you try that steel helmet forum? If so, what was the reaction?

I do agree the liner might be a copy, but I am still curious about the logo and written part inside. All people at the steel helmet forum think it's interesting but can't tell too much about the authenticity.
