getting pic on my prohile

I want to post a pic for my prophile and nee to know how.The pic is not a URL it is in my pics file .How do i do this? :o Please explain as if I am an idiot ( not a far stretch really) . Thanks again

It is a URL. Got to make it small

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.

I make em GIFs.
 
I would like to use a pic from my document's file . It is not a URL .Still have'n problem
