Girls and pickelhaubes

Yes Bruno, Angela has had to deal with some tricky problems during her reign as Iron Chancellor. Regarding the first haube manufacture pic posted here: I believe these ladies are putting on the finishing touches...kokarden and chin straps?? I have also noticed, that the section of liner between the visors on the stacked leather hauben have not been dyed black. Obviously, on a filz haube this is not done because the liner does not show in this area but on all leather officer and OR's helmets it is blackened. So...this step was done at a later stage in manufacture. I take these helmets apart all the time due to my restoration projects so I am fascinated when I can look at period photos of them actually being made. I like to try and figure things out.
