Been looking for a good set of these for awhile. Finally got a good set, pads and webbing are redone, but plates show original paint and faint markings.

Man these thigns are heavy, around 30 pounds!

Now I just need an original Strinpanzer to complete the set.

Good look in you hunt

Alex- thanks for the heads up 275 pounds seams way to good to be true as these sell for well over a $1000, but I will check it out.

thanks

James

Hey James,
I saw these too, but I passed on them because they look like a reproduction to me, The weight confirms it, as 30 lbs is too light, it should be 33 lbs :)
You lucky rat

Very cool James! I can't imagine wearing a full set of this armour....imagine trying to run in that get up!! I also encountered a late model stahlhelm at a local antique store on Sunday. Nice camo paint but no liner, with metal band. Supposedly the owner had already turned down $800Cdn! Where is this market taking us?? B

There are some amazing photos around page 147. This baby is free but I do not think it covers pickelhauben.
