This is one of the items I picked up at SOS, I was forced to drive all the way there because James said it was too heavy to ship, and I think he was right.

Maggie calls it a panty grabber, and I have to admit it could do that, these are the most uncomfortable thing to wear that I have ever encountered, and I should know, because I have even worn a suit on one occasion

Congratulations with your great catch! They are hard to encounter in the original colour these days, but you managed to find one... Congratulations! :thumb up: :thumb up: :thumb up:
Do you have pics of the inside too? What are the maker marks?... I know, a lot of questions, but when good things show up, we want to know everything :-" ...

Gus got this one from me after twisting and twisting my arms...

Hated to see it go, but he can display it better then me.

I am too nice

James

Sell me one of your (nicer) Lachmanns then James!! [-o<

Gus has great mannequins indeed! This one went to another good home...

Sorry to be slow, recovering from a cold that James probably gave me.

Here is a shot of the back of the Grabenpanzer, the straps date from the 1980s US surplus webbing, but at least I know they are not fake. I suspect that this armor never had original straps, as the condition is so good I would be surprised if it had been issued.

Excellent Gusmeister....but can you shovel snow wearing that rig??? Cograts!
I'm not sure, and I will probably have to wait until next winter to find out.

Very nice!

Looks as uncomfortable as the IBA (Interceptor Body Armor with the nice flat, thick plates.. SAPPI? ) they made us wear in IQ.
