Great latest find ...

I need to move to Belgium now! Looks like you guys have the nicest helmets... =D>

What is this BEAUTY exactly and could you show us the inside?

What is this helmet supposed to be- a Kurassier General? I'd like to see a period pic, please!

Thanks for the nice replies gents ,I have one more picture for you...

I’m sorry guys, but I just couldn’t resist pulling this stunt.
But don’t feel fooled by this because this only proves what a fabulous miniature this is.
It is made out of all the same materials as the real helmet.
For me, this artifact gets the same ranking as an original Faberge egg , PURE JEWELRY !
And if you are planning on finding one too ,GOOD LUCK ! Only a few were made , and the artist who made these stopped ten years ago.

By the way ,this is the only miniature I have ,all my other helmets are genuine. :D

I new it !
Garde Adler...
It should have:
-Nr 2 Kürassier Wappen (with 'Hohenfriedberg 4 Juni 1745' ribbon)
-or Linien Kürassier Adler Wappen
-or the dragoon eagle Wappen for the Jäger zu Pferde.

Do you have the makers name ??
Nevertheless: looks great.

I think I once posted an article from the German 'Visier' Magazine on miniature Kürassen, metal and leather helmets.

Just PM me your mailadres.
Rgds,
Francis

Very nice! That guy had some patience!

Love the medieval armor you have there too; a replica I suppose?

Excellent, a good presentation in fun =D> I believed it, they really are lovely little helmets aren't they?

Okay, wow! That's beautiful! (I was also wondering what kind of Kuerassier that represented... some kind of General?) Being a metalsmith, etc. I can appreciate the skill, especially in the adler, I mean, WOW! Such fine skill of chasing and repousse!

:D Ron

I have to admit that I first was thinking about another super made replica, but I would never have expected that it was this size. Super kraftsmanship!

I was taken in completely except I could not reconcile/explain the wappen. Well done!

According to the maker , this helmet represents a Wilhelm II “Chef eines Kürassierregiments “ helmet

Special thanks to Francis for the article on this matter !!! :notworthy:
