Thanks to another member of our site that I was able to get this real photo postcard from.
Breslau 1908 .Trooping of the 4 flags that I believe to be Grenadier Regt 11 .
The regiment was raised in 1808 so this could be the 100th Anniversary of the regiment .
We see the first two flags on the left carry the 1870 Iron Cross black parade banner .
These were only given out to the regiments who already had the 1813 Iron Cross pole top
that also saw action in the 1870/71 Franco -Prussian War .
The IV Batl on the right has a cyphered pole top as it was raised 1894
The Fusilier Batl flag has the 1870 Iron Cross pole top .
The photo was posted on another site and one of the members who saw it
did not think that it was G R 11 as he did see any litzen on the uniforms.G R 11 Breslau 1908.jpg
and in fact there were none .
G R 11 did get the litzen on their uniforms until 29/8/1913
5 years after the photo was taken
The "new " wide winged Grenadier eagle front plate for the helmet was also
given 29/8/1913. So we see the old "FWR " grenadier helmet front plate.
The cypher for the shoulder straps and epaulettes was given 6/5/1900
To the right side are some Kurassiere officers , I think to be from 1 L K R 1 .
The 4 flags were some years ago displayed at Rastatt .
They now are at the DHM.
I am not sure now they were not taken by the Russians at the end of WWII.
I also show an officers Waffenrock for G R 11 worn after 29/8/1913
rare as it was worn only until the intro of the Feldgrau uniform.
One of the flags of G R 11 at the DHM as shown .
Maybe Glenn has something that he can add about the photo ?G R 11 flag.jpgG R 11 U.jpeg

I want to add that in 1908 Princess Charolette of Sax. Meiningen gave
parade banners to 3 Batls of G R 11
and after the war the flags were in Potsdam
that is the reason the Russians didn't get the flags.
