Guess Where?

Very neat, I have no guess as to where you're at, but very cool, I personally am a huge Ship watcher/Enthusiast, and I love pictures like this. I do a lot of that here on the Great Lakes.

This was sort of on the Great Lakes. It was on Lake St. Clair on Saturday. That is connected to the Great Lakes -- between Lake Erie via the Detroit River to the South and Lake Huron via the St. Clair River to the north. I live about a 10 minute walk from the lake.
Cool! Do you live near any War of 1812 sites?

Oh yes, the Detroit River and on Lake Saint Claire are great spots to watch, and now that you say that, I know just exactly what Boat this is, and she is brand new, a rarity on the Lakes. By the way, a little fun fact, on the great lakes, all craft are called Boats rather than ships, even large ones. So, ALWAYS call the Great Lakes ships, Boats. Cheers.

I live in Kingston, Ontario on the St Lawrence. We have Fort Henry and Fort Frontenac here in Kingston and Fort Welington is about an hour away in Prescott. Sackets Harbor the location of Fort Pike in the US is not too far away either.

I was stationed on the USCGC Mackinaw WAGB-83 home-ported in Cheboygan MI. Spent a lot of winters there breaking ice for underpowered liners and such. Lots of beautiful cities and such. Great ports of call. I have fond memories. Now the Mackinaw WAGB-83 is a museum ship in Mackinaw city.
