H R 16 cloth dress hat

Quality cloth is getting pricey - although this one exceeded how high I was willing to go. Moth-free wool and unfaded yellow (a notoriously weak dye color in this era) is a rarity, especially on eBay.

Sadly, most eBay caps look like they have just recently passed through the digestive system of a cow. 😐

I thought that the cap was nice
I would not call it mint
It looked like at one time it might have been at a costume shop ?
Ink stamps inside ?
Years ago I had some nice hats
you are correct, the prices are up
I know a very serious Husaren collector here in the States ,

Agreed Steve - not mint, but about "Condition II" as the Auktion houses would rate it. Looks like it would display very nicely. The inner stamps are interesting, and are likely theater prop company marks or museum stamps? Probably why it survived as well and as long as it did. Kudos to whomever ended up with it.
