Dear All,

Browsing the Net I have spoted this Hannoverian infantry haube which looks quite right to me. The battle damage to it makes it even more special.

I would still like to have your enlightened comments on it.

I just saw this -- I'm always very leery of "battle damage". My collecting taste runs towards better condition -- I do not always practice what I preach.
 
But look at the price!!! I paid $150.00 for the same one (JR78), and in a much better condition...

On a separate note, is it possible the black cross denotes a casualty? I certainly wouldn't pay such a sum for this helmet, but were it mine, I wouldn't change a thing.
