a bit of history on the banderoles/ribbons.
1899:
Wilhelm II will award some banderoles in order to strengthen the loyalty of the Kaiserliches Heer /Imperial Army by upgrading its non-Prussian Regiments.
-A.K.O. dd 24 January 1899: six Hanoverian Regiments received the banderole "WATERLOO"; to mark their former achievements in the ranks of the "KGL-King's German Legion". (The Prince of Hanover was also King of England since 1714).

-1803: Hanover is raided by General Mortier. The Hanoverian army is dissolved. Many Hanoverian soldiers that want to continue the fight against Napoleon emigrate to England. They were gathered in Hanoverian units within the ranks of the King’s German Legion. From 1805 on the Legion counts: four Infantry Bns; two Dragoner Regimenter and five Artillery Batteries

From then on Its strength will increase. In 1812-at its peak-the King's German Legion is 18000 men strong. Two Dragoner Regiments; three Husaren Regiments; eight Line Infantry Bns; two Light Infantry Bns; six Artillery Batteries and Pioniere. The units will take part in the war in The Peninsular War: the Battles of La Coruña; Buçaco; Barossa; Fuentes de Oñoro; Albuera; Arapiles; Vitoria; San Sebastian; the siege of Ciudad Rodrigo and Burgos. As well as in the battle of Nivelles in 1813. The KGL will also be deployed to Sicily.
-After Napoleon’s abdictation the Hanoverian units were to be disbanded; but: Napoleon’s return from Elba will justify their conservation. The KGL’s units will then participate in the Battle of Waterloo-La Haie Sainte.

that took the Waterloo banner .

If you dont see witch regiment it is assigned to then you have a probleme :o
I think this is the biggest stamp i have ever seeen inside a helmet :-k

Yes, sometimes there is no stamp at all ,in that case one must make sure that there are no double holes ,and the wappen has no re-soldered loops and that the wappen matches the marks on the helmet. :|

 
It has it al for beeing a genuine helmet
Although the thing i always do when i want to buy a helmet is ,with permission of the owner,is to take it apart to look behind the wappen for those Pressure marks left behind by the plate

Then you are sure that al is well and not a 'parts'helmets as they exist

A truly excellent helmet! However, with a unique characteristic.......the grommets for the wappen have been put in backwards, the bent tangs for the grommets should be on the inside not the outside. I have never seen this before......perhaps Hans had a few too many beers at lunch break before putting these on??? :) To me this adds "originality" to the helme!

Some months ago, a friend made me see one of his helmets.without any marking on the back visor;

Under the dirt and gease, there seemed to be a marking, almost invisible.

After a light and very careful cleaning, that appeared :
