Hanseatic (Hamburg) officers pickelhaube

Just arrived in the post today. The gilding looks much better in flash photography, is much less apparent in normal light.
 
Nice helmet and thanks for sharing! I'd wish the mailman brought me one of these too :D

Having slept on it, I think the officer's stars are modern reproductions, the washers on the interior are very bright and shiny. I'll post a pic later this evening, let me know what you think.

There's also two great makers marks on the interior. One is an ink stamp, and the other is an indented stamp in the leather sweatband. I'll also post pics of these tonight.
 
Here are the additional photos as promised.

Maker's mark is for "J. Robrecht Berlin" with a central word I can't make out, perhaps "Heflieferant"???

The imprint on the sweatband is the same text but very hard to capture.

Silk liner is beaten to hell, obviously.

What do we think about the officer stars? Very shiny washers and nuts... Hmmm... The metal of the stars is like they are sand-cast, which is different to the smooth stars I have on other pickelhaubes.
