Sorry to hear this . We lost our Golden Retriever, Sam, who was 17 and a half, in May 2012. Thought we'd never get another dog, but in April last year got Ruaridh, another Golden. An absolute hooligan! Great to have another dog, but Sam will never be forgotten.

I lost my cow dog to cancer a few years ago, I didn't think I would get another dog either, but ended up getting a bird dog cow dog cross, a happy dog, but the worst cross breed, all the stupidity of a bird dog and all the ambition of a cow dog/ I would get rid of the idiot, but I have gotten attached to her.

I'm totally with you Brother. :( I had my doggie from the age (my age that is) of 14 to 30. Literally from boy to man. What a heartbreaker when she had to be put down ... she was blind and deaf and covered in bumps and had such bad arthritis in her hip that she would yelp sometimes just when moving around. Condolences on your loss.

I know how you feel. I lost my cat several years ago due to cancer. Good luck!

Regards,

Edwin
