Helmet mistery solved! Just awesome...

As a few of you fellow collectors always wanted to know where I get my pickelhauben and other quality stuff... Here's the answer...
It's not a timemachine, as many thought at first, but ... They simply grow in my garden.
They all start as a Fly mushroom (Amanita muscaria), but soon magic happens and they turn into WW1 steel helmets, pickelhauben, pelzmutzen, tschako's or tschapka's...
To prove all this, I took some real goofy pics of all this, to show you gentlemen how things work in our garden...

You need to collect spores from these mushrooms, you could make a fortune cultivating them, but on the other hand, it would drive the price of your helmets down, so maybe you had better kill all the mushrooms as soon as you complete your collection:)

Karel, I think that tiny Leib Husaren Pelzmütze is just about the coolest thing I have ever seen. :thumbright: Would love to get one for Kaiser. Is it period?

Hey tony,
It is from the same period as the larger one, It has not grown to full size yet.

Hey Tony,
I think Kaiser needs a Pelzmütze, it should be easy to throw one together, I would think easier than a Pickelhaube.

NO, no... it's not fotoshopped... they grow that way and you can harvest them when they are the size you need 8-) ...
I will collect the seeds of the magic mushrooms and open a farm next year, then you can order them the size you want 8-) ...

Ron, I think I'll need to grow another kind of mushroom then... but I'll do my very best for you...
