The portrait is a oil on canvas I bought on a danish auction. In style I believe it dates from early 1800s. The medals are german johanniter awards for sure. I dont know much about uniforms, soo would be a help with some opinions. He could have been a honour member of the Johanniters, and the portrait could have been painted to hang in the orders meeting space. Just a guess
