Help identifying Shoulder Boards and Aguilette

Hi all, I've had this in my possession for about 10 years - from memory I bought when I was in the UK and I was planning to use for a replica period dress uniform (I assumed that they were from an English ADC, but ChatGPR insists they are pre 1918 german ). I'm decided to put on ebay, but I can't identify the era and country - the buttons have a crown with a lion on top and some script below. I've tried searching like crazy and Chatgpt seems to be giving me weird answers.

The set has two braided shoulder boards and a matching aiguillette. The boards feature three silver starburst pips with red crosses and a brass button topped by a lion‑crested crown and monogram that I cannot identify. The braid is metallic silver‑gilt over red underlay.

Anyone recognize and have an idea on value? It's all in pretty good condition.

Those are British Guards Pips for a Captain.

One of our British friends should be able to confirm this and that the buttons are for Guards as well.

Woohoo - many thanks for pointing me in the right direction - Coldstream guards maybe?
Looks like the pips could be for sure. The Coldstream Guards wear different buttons though. Those buttons look like they might be Royal Horse Guards and I think all British Guards use those same pips. So my vote would be Royal Horse Guards. Not an expert though. Hope fully someone else will chime in soon.
