Help please!

Ok, I joined a few hours ago, I honestly do not know what my grandfather has besides it’s a pickelhaubes of some sort, fake or real, I honestly do not know, he just celebrated his 100th birthday, he’s a WWII vet, his health is declining, he has a plethora of German stuff, WWII trophies, and many other things. I am trying to help my mother and her sisters figure all this stuff out. This is just one of many items I have to sort out if real or not and if so what it may be worth for possible auction or collector. I am not a damn bot, this is not a joke, I’m not selling anything, I don’t want your money, I want answers, I mean it will be sold, just not right now. We are in the figuring out everything phase right now. Other post I messed up on. lol

I noticed your earlier post, in fact it was only the photo. The helmet looks at first clance a good one, but you should better post more photo's of it. Like close ups, liner, any markings present and such. That way members can give you a better comment of it's autheticity.

Coert is right, please post photos of the 4-sides of the helmet and a full interior photo. Please also show any markings if there are any on the underside of the back visor. We'll be happy to help you with proper ID and authenticity verification, and we can also provide a value for you and your family. We have a good number of helpful members here.

Seems the pictures have gone from this post as well. I did reach out to a few of my German buddies and was told The helmet on the picture was made for the crews of the Prussian line infantry regiment and used around 1895. The regiments of the line infantry wore the heraldic Prussian eagle with the letters "FR" and a currency ribbon with the inscription "Mit Gott Für König und Vaterland", which means "With God for King and Fatherland". I can not tell if it is an original or a replica. I added a pic again. I am not there, I will have a family member get me these pictures and I will post it back up. Thank you so far for the help.
