These just came in with a bunch of others, and as I am not a big visor cap or mutze collector, I figured out most, but these 7 have me stumped?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

top 3 appear to be gold/red/black

bottom row first 2 are silver green red, 3rd is green/silver/green and last appears to be a deep red or burgundy center?

thanks

James

May you take the photo in a different lighting? I would think of the other South American countries that use these to start.

I did not think of that, the first 2 on bottom could be Mexican?

I will try and get better pics, in the middle of a Blizzard right now

James

The gold, red and black colours are for Reuss officer caps.
Either for IIB officer Schirmmütze caps or JR 96 caps.

In this photo, it is the one at the bottom.

The one in green with the silver crown corresponds to the Anhalt officer, 93J.R. In this case, the silver crown should be green, but it may have peeled off because the paint doesn't adhere well to nickel silver. As it appears, with the silver crown (white for the troops), this is the cockade of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, namely of the 95th J.R. and 153rd J.R. regiments.

I'm continuing my research on the others, but indeed, since other countries besides Germany adopted the spiked helmet and "German-style" caps (Spain, Sweden, Argentina, etc.), it's possible that these colors were foreign to the German states.
