Help with Identification

I obtained this nice Hessen Medal Award certificate and am curious as to the background etc. of Kanonier Karl Binz (I think that's his name) from "Feldartillerie Regiments No 111".

I could not find him in the Verlutslisten.

Being retired Artillery myself I really like this certificate and would love to know more of his history.

Any and all help appreciated as usual.

Thanks. This is an old antique frame with original glass - no anti-glare. I think it turned out pretty nice.
