Help with Wound Badge

Just got this for $80 Canadian ($60 USD) and believe it to be a standard WWI black wound badge, although the seller listed it as Spanish Civil War. I doubt that as there is no swastika, unless there was some interim period when they were still issuing old wound badges?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Peter

The profile of the helmet seems to be non German to me. I don't see the typical dip in the rim from front to back.

Hello,
In my humble opinion, everything is ok.
Attached are other examples.
Important is the clear drawing of the two rivets and the Stirnpanzer hitch.
Examples attached.

By decree
The Wound Badge(1914-1918) was reinstated for award in 1936
From my experience
I found the latest grant document in 1941.
best regards

Thank you all for your help.

So a pre-Third Reich example as I suspected.

Cheers.
