Woodwork piece. As found.

Hessen Infantry Officer helmet Model 1897. Black lacquered fiber body by Depaheg Patent Berlin with gilded brass metal trim. Helmet has perfect form and firm stitching. The exterior finish is in perfect shape with a bright lacquer finish. No extra holes in the helmet body. The interior has leather officer sweat liner and silk headliner. The sweat leather is fragile and has a tear and some leather loss in front part of helmet.

The silk headliner in excellent shape. Front plate is the gilded Hessen rampant Lion that is held to body with threaded screw bolts and washers. Hessen style crossed spike base with fluted spike. Base held to helmet with round studs. Flat chinscales on rosettes. Officer Reichs and Officer non-serrated Hessen cockades. Outstanding helmet that is uncleaned and untouched. Beautiful example of a Hessen Officer helmet.

Nice helmet, but a shame about all the costs and import fees for Europe.
There are no costs or fees when I send a haube anywhere…..

You have ‘tyre kicked’ my items previously, and I have answered your strange often bizarre questions via PM, why?

Can I request you refrain from commenting on any future sales thread of mine please?

Sorry, but you always have to pay import duties if the goods come from outside Europe.
Sorry, but this is actually the first time I'm replying to your post.
