Saw this picture in Stubbs Book and wonder if it is evidenced that Hessian Artillery R25 has no sword and no pierced crown.

To me Amy, they have been broken off at some point. You can see the hilt of the sword is still there in the paw of the lion. I think you can also see the base of the crown on it’s head.

Hello Amy ;
If this will help here is my former Hessian FAR 25 officer helmet pre 1992 . After 1992 I made the foolish move of selling all
of my non Prussian helmets . Here is a short story .When I started to collect circa 1970 the old time collectors told me that I was crazy
that If I bought helmets at the high prices of that day that I would never get my money back . 1970 was the top of the market they said .
I went ahead with buying some helmets . That FAR 25 with parade bush cost me $ 250 .The L G IR 115 officer came a little later , I
paid $ 450 for it .I can't remember where I got the Dragoon Regt 23 officer or what I paid .Anyway they are now long gone I sold them in 1992
I think that I got $ 9,500 for the FAR 25 and the LGIR 115 .I thought that I had made a killing .Now they are higher .So much for "Top of the Market " So far I have only been able to replace the LGIR 115
