Why is the spike so tall/disproportionate?

I have a size 55 pickelhaube with a spike that looks smaller overall...
 
Ron I have asked the seller via another forum and he said its a standard EM spike,so the photos must be making it look taller than it is in reality.

What about the cockades and chinstrap? Anything wrong with these you think?
 
The Hessen kockarde looks a little too "fresh" compared to the rest of the helmet, could be a repro.

"BA XVIII" stamp is correct for this helmet.

No extra holes.

Everything fits for me but the hessen kockarde.

Typical M15 hessen pickelhaube, but without the cross-base.
The plate is in bad condition.

Well, it seems the front visor is also a bit loose...

Anyway, it's already at $810 with 5 days to go and reserve hasn't even been met yet... This one will be overpriced so I'll pass. :(
