Regarding the rust on the spike, I agree, it is different patina far from the plate's one, but I like the shell and the space between the gromets.

Nothing to be disappointed about, Eric. Far to high a price for a below average helmet. And one of the nice things about hessian helmets is the four-legged basis and specific spike... wait for a nice one.
