hidden treasure

A few weeks back I purchased a shoe box of parts from a local collector. I was in need of two front visor split pins and there was a pair in the box, along with a collection of the parts. About half of what was in the box was either reproduction or broken, but the price was right so I took the lot. I had not really paid much attention to the details of what was in the box. There were some front visor trims, some rear spines, a spike, a couple of Wappen, chin strap parts, split pins, and a couple of cockades.
After I used the two pins I originally needed I then took a closer look at what else was in the box . To my surprise there was a small Württemberg Wappen, measuring 95mm in height. This particular plate would have been used between 1895 and 1903 by the 13th Train Battalion, making it a very limited used Wappen.
