http://www.kaiserzeit.com?? Where did he go?

Hi
I am new to the membership and only have one original helmet so far but had wanted to put a Garde du Corps helmet together from scratch as I have always wanted one and the originals are a bit beyond my means..

I had noticed the site http://www.kaiserzeit.com/ awhile ago and wanted to order a eagle from him and some other misc parts but noticed the site is no longer there..

Did kaiserzeit go out of business or move to a different website?

hi,

I am pretty sure he entered into his old business that has kept him fairly remote. I don't think he deals in Militaria anymore. He used to be pretty active in this forum, but I have not seen him for a while.

Hi Joe;
I had visited your website not too long ago its a great site and found it very informative..

Thank you for your reply , it would be ashamed if he closed the shop permanently as he had alot of useful items and they were very inexpensive compared to many of the overseas sites I had visited...

Hello Everyone,

I set my hobby business aside for a few years when I found that my day job was demanding too much of my time. I was a geologist, which had me travelling a fair bit.

That stage of my life is now behind me and I am turning my attention, once again, to militaria. I still have a few pickelhaube parts floating about but think I might take a bit more of a general approach, now. We'll see.

For example, based on old reference material, I am arranging manufacture of the original spec ribbons for the 1813 and 1870 iron cross 2nd class; not the usual ribbon we see for the 1914 issue but the ones with narrower outside strips of black. I digress....

Anyway, good to be back.

If I can help with the odd part, I would be happy to.

My email is [email protected]

Cheers,

Laurie
p.s. Brian, I hope that this note isn't too crassly commercial. Cheers, L.
