Hussar officer boots/Husarenoffizierstiefel

Just pick this up, straight from Germany, I don't have that much experience with this much old fashioned boots, I couldn't even find that much photos of this kind.
I just trusted my guts, I had a little bit of suspicion on tress/Litzen stitches but it seems like boot makers personal style for now.

And I have the usual stuff for leather care however this boots are patent leather I never handled before, any insight on this if anyone knows?, I'm thinking just let it hang out as it is, but I don't want to miss out if I'm missing anything.

As for the boots, it's quite common in Germany to take WWII officer's boots, and alter them into Husaren. This s not meant to deceive, but for the Kavalerie reenactment groups. Typical sign is the new braid. It should be quite aged, like the Tresse on the Attila.

Supposed to be HR14, I was also confused a bit before I purchased this, showed the same photo to other German fellow and he thought it was Leibhusaren because the faded fabric seemed black-ish enough to be seen as black.

Sounds interesting, so does that also mean German WWII boots had patented leather type or transforming includes converting it into patent finished leather?, I did handled a few other typical WWII boots, never saw a pair made out of patented leather also with Hussars boots specific boot shapes in general, maybe I haven't looked into them well or I don't know what cobblers can do..

Yes it has no cyphers, but sometimes I think if it's just the cyphers that make differences what if somebody adds cyphers?, just a silly thought because sometimes it's really easy to alter certain things, I heard Third Reich collecting is full of those kind of cases.

When you add cyphers to shoulder straps or boards, you have two problems. 1st is to find original cyphers (good luck) and 2nd you cannot "un-fade' the cloth or wire bullion under the cyphers. It is standard for cloth insignia collectors to gently look under cyphers for brighter cloth or bullion which has been protected for decades by the cypher. If it's the same as the rest of the shoulder strap or board, that is a red flag. As for it being Leib-Husaren you would be able to tell immediately as black is very black. But yes, the very dark dunkelblau can often appear black.
